Previous Harvest Road Next

This is one of my favorites. It is from the Palouse area of Eastern Washington, where I went to school and just offers me a connection to a landscape that no other place does. Traveling with my friend Mitch we found this place on a rumor of a glorious red barn. The first time we saw it, it was in July and the fields of wheat were still showing their mottled tones of green and amber. A return trip in August, in the middle of harvest, was more than we could have hoped for. I shot this on top of Mitch's Toyota for extra height which in turn, gives more depth in a shot.
